Coffee & Connections
The purpose of this small group is simple: to connect women with one another, offer them an opportunity to encourage each other, and inspire them to draw closer to God. Women of all ages are invited to join us each Wednesday at 9:30 at the Ghent Taste, located at 407 West 21st Street in Norfolk. Grab a coffee--or tea--at the Borjo Drinkbar, and let's talk about life! For more information, contact Jennifer Gross-Statler.
Theology on Tap
This group will meet on the first and third Thursdays each month (see below for scheduled dates) at 5:30 pm at The Public House at 1112 Colley Ave. in Ghent with Navy Chaplain Tom Statler. All are welcome--especially those who no longer attend church, or who have never attended a Christian church, but consider themselves spiritual. Members of Ghent UMC are encouraged to bring a friend or member is who no longer attending, because there is NO agenda, and this ISN'T a Bible study. Our focus is Christian discipliship; so come with questions, and together let's figure out how to live a life of faith in our sometimes unsettled and divided world!
Chaplain Tom Statler is the Command Chaplain of the Joint Forces Staff College, and an ordained United Methodist minister with over 26 years of total experience. Tom and his wife Jennifer attend Ghent UMC.
